All travel arrangements are strictly subject to availability at the time of booking. Early booking is recommended for dates near to major events and during peak season (November through to March). In the unlikely event that your tour cannot be confirmed, any money paid will be fully refunded.
All costs are in Australian dollars. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included in all prices at 10%. Meals are not included except as specified in certain tours.
Hotel rooms, coaches and trains are subject to availability at special rates. If all our allotments are full we will endeavour to secure alternatives at the most favourable rates, however in these circumstances there may have to be an adjustment to an advertised price. Your approval will be sought prior to confirmation of services with additional surcharges.
A deposit of 10% of the total tour price is required is required within three (3) days of confirmation of your tour. Payment of the deposit will indicate acceptance of these terms and conditions by the purchaser and/or passenger. The balance of payment must be made at least 30 days prior to commencement of your tour, although it can be made earlier.
Except for specific cancellation penalties imposed by individual suppliers and as specified in your tour documentation, no cancellation penalties will apply to tours cancelled more than 30 days prior to the commencement of the tour. If cancellation is made 8-30 days prior to commencement of the tour, a penalty of 10% of the tour cost (the deposit amount) applies. If cancellation is made 2-7 days prior to commencement of the tour, a penalty of 50% of the tour cost applies. If cancellation is made within 24 hours of commencement of the tour, a penalty of 100% of the tour cost applies.
Where a refund is due, it will be debited directly to the credit card that made the original purchase. To receive a refund you may need to re-enter your credit card details via our secure payment gateway.
All tours may be extended or amended without administration fees if amendments are made prior to the preparation of travel documents (approximately 10 days before commencement of the tour). After this time any amendments will incur appropriate fees for our services and in accordance with the policies of our suppliers.
We recommend the purchase of travel insurance, which can cover you for loss of deposits, accidental injury, damaged personal effects, delays, and other eventualities. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual traveller.
Walshes World Agencies Australia Pty Limited trading as Driving Oz does not accept any liability for failure, act or omission on the part of transportation companies, accommodation providers, sightseeing providers or other suppliers. Furthermore the responsibility of suppliers is limited to those services as specified in their tickets, conditions of contract, conditions of carriage and tariffs. Walshes World Agencies Australia Pty Limited and the principals concerned accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in trains, buses, ferry or other transport services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. Any such loss or expense is the responsibility of the passenger.
All international visitors require a passport that is valid for at least three (3) months after intended departure from Australia. Some visitors may also require a visa, which may take some time to obtain, so please consult us or your airline travel agent at an early date. Australia has very strict quarantine regulations. Do not bring any raw food, fruit or plant material with you.
Temporary visitors (for up to three months) wishing to drive in Australia do not require an international driver's licence but are required to carry their local driver's licence (and an accurate translation if the licence is not in English) whenever driving.
