Day 2: Sydney to Port Stephens Your rental car will be dropped off to your hotel and you will start the day by driving North on the F3 towards Port Stephens. Along the way, there are some wonderful areas to explore. Visit the Australian Reptile Park for an up close look at some of Australia’s fascinating wildlife. Take the Cessnock turn off and visit the lower Hunter Valley to explore craft & food shops, vineyards and cellar doors before getting back on the freeway towards Port Stephens. Day 4: Port Stephens to Sydney Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the Port Stephens beaches such as Fingal Bay & Shoal Bay before getting back on the road towards Newcastle. Settled in 1797, Newcastle is the largest coal export harbour in the world and you really should take time to visit. Continue south, exploring the many small towns and beaches along the way. Day 5: Depart Sydney After check out from the hotel your arrangements conclude with the return of your rental car to the airport or depot.
