Day 1: Arrive in Adelaide
Arrive in Adelaide and make your way to your hotel in the city.
Your rental car will be dropped off and you will spend the day exploring Adelaide using your Adelaide Attractions Pass – just some of the attractions you can visit include Central Market (Open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday), Haigh’s Chocolates Visitors Centre, Adelaide Oval and the Bradman Collection. Shop in Rundle Mall, drive out to Glenelg to enjoy beach side entertainment, take a jet boat ride or swim with dolphins. There is plenty to see and do in Adelaide.
Today you head south through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jarvis where you will board the SeaLink ferry for your 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island. Visit Seal Bay and experience a breeding colony of Australian Sea Lions, Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch Boardwalk. Tonight you relax in the hospitality of Kangaroo Island Lodge.
On your return to Cape Jarvis, you journey to the Barossa Valley. En-route, explore the Adelaide Hills region – exploring Cleland Wildlife Park, take in the views from Mt Loft Summit or explore the historic village of Hahndorf with its many craft and local produce stores. Continue through to the Barossa Valley and the town of Rowland Flat.
The Barossa offers everything you'd expect from Australia's most famous wine region. Winemakers waiting to share their secrets at the cellar door; landscapes etched with manicured vineyards; passionate food producers proffering their wares at country markets; and grand chateaux surrounded by ornate gardens. After a relaxing day exploring the region, journey back to Adelaide.
